Lyvra Terms of Use

Version: 2026-10

Effective: 10 October 2026

1. About these Terms

1.1 These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Lyvra, a patient-controlled personal health record, also called a "health passport" (the "Service"). The Service is available through our web and mobile web applications.

1.2 Please read these Terms together with our Privacy Policy (https://lyvra.health/legal/privacy), which explains how we handle your personal and health data.

1.3 By creating an account and accepting these Terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.

2. Who we are

2.1 The Service is operated by Lyvra ("Lyvra", "we", "us", "our").

2.2 You can contact us at support@lyvra.health.

3. Who can use Lyvra

3.1 You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3.2 Each account is for one person, managed by that person. Family or dependant accounts (for example, managing a child's or a relative's records) are not currently offered. We may introduce them later, and these Terms will be updated before we do.

3.3 You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.

3.4 The Service is launching first in Morocco. Planned later markets include France, Spain and Switzerland. We will update these Terms before offering the Service in those countries.

4. Your account and security

4.1 Sign-up. You create an account with your email address and a password of at least 12 characters.

4.2 Email verification. We verify your email by sending a 6-digit one-time code. The code expires after a short time, can be entered incorrectly a limited number of times (currently 5) before it stops working, and there is a short waiting period before you can request a new one.

4.3 Password reset. If you forget your password, we email you a one-time code to reset it. When you reset your password, your other active sessions are signed out.

4.4 Your responsibilities. You are responsible for: - keeping your password secret and not reusing it from other services; - keeping access to your email account secure, because codes are sent there; - everything done through your account, unless caused by our failure to protect it.

4.5 Tell us promptly at support@lyvra.health if you think someone else has accessed your account.

4.6 Accepting current versions. When you sign up, you must accept the current version of these Terms and of the Privacy Policy. We record which version you accepted and when.

5. What Lyvra is — and what it is not

5.1 What Lyvra does

Lyvra lets you keep your health information in one place that you control. Depending on what you choose to use, you can: - record your identity details and a health profile (for example allergies, conditions, medications, blood type and emergency contacts); - keep emergency card information; - upload documents such as lab results, prescriptions and imaging reports (PDF or images); - connect to hospitals and clinics that support SMART-on-FHIR connections and import records you authorise (for example results, observations, orders, visits and care-team notes or responses); - keep insurance coverage details in an insurance wallet; - share selected information with institutions and clinicians through time-limited grants you create, and see a log of who accessed what.

5.2 Lyvra is not an emergency service

Lyvra is not an emergency service. Do not rely on Lyvra in an emergency. If you or someone else needs urgent help, contact your local emergency services immediately. Emergency card information in Lyvra may not be seen by responders and may be out of date.

5.3 Lyvra does not give medical advice

Lyvra is an information tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace a qualified health professional. Always talk to a doctor or other qualified professional about your health.

5.4 Information may be incomplete or wrong

Information in Lyvra comes from you and from the sources you connect (hospitals, clinics, documents you upload). It may be incomplete, out of date or contain errors. We do not check the medical accuracy of that information. The hospital, clinic or professional that created a record remains responsible for it. If you think a record from a source is wrong, contact that source.

6. AI features

6.1 Lyvra may offer features that use artificial intelligence: - Aya, an assistant that can answer questions about your own records. Aya is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. - Document AI, which can extract structured information (for example test names and values) from documents you upload.

6.2 Aya is currently in limited availability: it is not generally available and is offered only to selected accounts. We may expand, change or withdraw it.

6.3 AI outputs can be wrong. They may misread documents, miss information or state things with false confidence. AI outputs are not medical advice and not a diagnosis. Check extracted data against the original document, and do not make health decisions based only on AI outputs.

6.4 How data is processed for AI features — including that it is sent to our AI provider outside Morocco — is explained in the Privacy Policy.

7. You control your data and who sees it

7.1 You hold your records. Institutions and clinicians cannot see your information in Lyvra unless you give them access.

7.2 Sharing grants. You can create a grant that lets a specific institution or clinician see a defined part of your information (for example a summary, your records, or your orders) for a limited time.

7.3 Access log. Each access under a grant is logged. You can see who viewed what, and when.

7.4 Revoking. You can revoke a grant at any time. Revocation stops future access through Lyvra. It does not undo access that already happened, and it does not delete copies an institution may already have saved in its own systems under its own rules.

7.5 Care-team responses. Clinicians at institutions you share with may add responses or notes that you can see in Lyvra.

7.6 No sale, no advertising. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

8. Hospitals, clinics and clinicians

8.1 Institutions and clinicians that connect to Lyvra, or that you share information with, are independent third parties. They are not our employees or agents.

8.2 They are responsible for their own care decisions, their own records and their own legal obligations (including professional secrecy and data protection) for information they receive or hold.

8.3 We are not responsible for the care, advice or services they provide, or for how they use information after you share it with them.

8.4 Connections with hospitals and clinics depend on those institutions. A connection may be unavailable, limited, or stop working.

9. Insurance features

9.1 The insurance wallet lets you store coverage cards and details for your own reference.

9.2 Insurance features are for information only. Any decision about coverage, eligibility, authorisation or payment is made by your insurer or payer, not by Lyvra.

9.3 Integrations with payers are currently in a test (sandbox) or limited form. Real payer integrations may be added later. Information shown may not reflect your actual coverage; always check with your insurer.

10. Acceptable use

10.1 You agree not to: - use the Service for anyone other than yourself, or store another person's health information without a legal right to do so; - create an account using false identity information or someone else's email; - try to access other users' accounts or data, or data you are not authorised to see; - interfere with the Service, bypass security, rate limits or access controls, or probe or test our systems without our written permission; - use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service, except connections we provide; - upload malware or harmful code; - upload content that is unlawful, or that you do not have the right to upload; - use the Service to break any law.

10.2 We may take action under section 14 if you break these rules.

11. Content you upload

11.1 You keep ownership of the information and documents you add to Lyvra.

11.2 You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to operate and provide the Service to you, including sharing it with recipients you choose and processing it with AI features you use. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for the minimal records we must keep as explained in the Privacy Policy.

11.3 You confirm you have the right to upload the content you add.

12. Fees

12.1 The Service is currently free for patients.

12.2 If we introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance and you will not be charged without your agreement.

13. Availability and changes to the Service

13.1 We work to keep Lyvra available and reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause it for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control.

13.2 We may change, add or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what you can do, we will try to give you reasonable notice. Features marked as limited, test or sandbox may change or end at any time.

14. Suspension, termination and deletion

14.1 You can leave at any time. You can delete your account in the app.

14.2 What deletion does. When you delete your account, we erase your personal and health data: uploaded documents are deleted from storage and record contents are scrubbed. Active sharing grants stop. We keep only minimal records we need as legal evidence — for example, records of which Terms and Privacy Policy versions you accepted, and audit evidence of access. Details and periods are in the Privacy Policy.

14.3 Deletion in Lyvra does not delete information held by institutions in their own systems, or information you already shared or downloaded.

14.4 Before deleting, you can ask us for a copy of your data (see the Privacy Policy).

14.5 Suspension or termination by us. We may suspend or close your account if: - you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms; - we must do so by law or at the request of a competent authority; - it is needed to protect you, other users, or the Service from harm or a security threat.

Where reasonable and lawful, we will tell you first and give you a chance to respond, and to obtain a copy of your data.

14.6 We may also stop providing the Service altogether. If we do, we will give you reasonable advance notice and the opportunity to obtain a copy of your data.

15. Disclaimers and limits of liability

15.1 Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law, or our liability where it cannot be limited by law (for example, for fraud or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by our fault, where applicable).

15.2 Subject to 15.1: - the Service is provided "as is" and "as available"; - we are not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of information from you or from third-party sources, or for AI outputs, as described in sections 5 and 6; - we are not responsible for decisions made by institutions, clinicians or insurers; - we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

16. Changes to these Terms

16.1 We may update these Terms, for example when we change the Service or the law changes. Each version has a version number and an effective date.

16.2 When we make a new version, we will tell you in the app (and may also email you). You will be asked to accept the new version.

16.3 Until you accept, your account may be limited — for example, read-only — so you can still view your information but not use all features. If you do not want to accept, you can request a copy of your data and delete your account.

17. Governing law and disputes

17.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco.

17.2 If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@lyvra.health so we can try to resolve it.

17.3 Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of the Kingdom of Morocco, subject to mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules.

17.4 Nothing in this section removes any right you have under mandatory consumer law to bring a claim in your own local courts.

18. General

18.1 If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

18.2 If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.

18.3 You may not transfer your account or these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another entity that takes over the Service, provided your rights are not reduced; we will tell you if this happens.
